شبكة المدار الإعلامية الأوربية …_ احتفظ ويد فان نيكيرك بلقب سباق 400 متر في بطولة العالم لألعاب القوى يوم الثلاثاء بعد أداء مسيطر إذ شق طريقه نحو النصر في 43.98 ثانية لكن كان هناك اهتمام بالقدر نفسه بالحارة الخالية إلى جواره حيث كان من المفترض أن يوجد البوتسواني ايزاك ماكوالا.وسيطر الجنوب افريقي فان نيكيرك، حامل اللقب والبطل الاولمبي وصاحب الرقم القياسي العالمي، على السباق وكان حتى بوسعه ابطاء سرعته في الأمتار الأخيرة ليحقق الجزء الأول مما يأمل أن تكون ثنائية سباقي 400/200 متر.وجاء عداء الباهاما ستيفن جاردينر (21 عاما) في المركز الثاني في 44.41 ثانية وزاد القطري عبد الله هارون (20 عاما) بطل العالم للناشئين سرعته قرب النهاية لينتزع المركز الثالث في 44.48 ثانية.وتم استبعاد ماكوالا، الأسرع هذا الموسم، من السباق في وقت سابق يوم الثلاثاء بعدما انسحب أيضا من تصفيات سباق 200 متر يوم الاثنين بعد أن تقيأ قبل السباق.وأكد العداء البوتسواني أنه كان يرغب في المشاركة لكن مسؤولي الاتحاد الدولي لألعاب القوى استبعدوه ورفضوا دخوله الاستاد وسط تفش لحالات إصابة بفيروس (نوروفيروس) والتهاب المعدة والأمعاء بين حوالي 30 متسابقا من عدة دول.وفي غيابه بدا فان نيكيرك بلا منافس تقريبا ولم يبذل إلا القليل من الجهد ليعبر خط النهاية وفي ذهنه بالفعل سباق 200 متر.وقال فان نيكيرك “أمتلك فريقا جيدا يساعدني على التعافي وسأعود للعمل غدا”.وأبدى العداء الجنوب افريقي تعاطفه مع ماكوالا.وقال “هذه لحظة تفطر القلب. التقيت به قبل تصفيات سباق 200 متر وكل ما كنت أفكر فيه هو انني احتضنه وأبلغه أنه يجب أن يتعافى سريعا.”الكل يريد وجود أفضل العدائين على المضمار بقدر ما كل منا يريد الحصول على الذهبية. لذا فهذا أمر سيء. شاهدته وهو يعبر العديد من التحديات من قبل. لذا فأنا متعاطف معه”.وأضاف “اتمنى أن أمنحه ميداليتي لكنها الرياضة. نحن بحاجة إلى الوجود على المضمار والكفاح من أجل الفوز وكان يمكن أن يحدث ذلك لأي منا. كلنا نمر بفترات صعبة. علينا فقط العودة والقتال أكثر قوة”.ولم يستطع جاردينر تكرار الأداء الذي قدمه في الدور قبل النهائي عندما سجل 43.89 ثانية في ليلة باردة في لندن لكنه يبدو قادرا على تحدي فان نيكيرك في المستقبل.وتفوق هارون السوداني الأصل على البوتسواني بابولوكي ثيبي والجاميكي ناثون الين في الأمتار الأخيرة.واحتل الأمريكي فريد كيرلي المركز الأخير لتفشل الولايات المتحدة في الحصول على أي ميدالية في هذا السباق للمرة الثانية فقط منذ انطلاق بطولة العالم في 1983.
